Starting a New Puppy – Puppies may start nibbling Field Dog™ at around four to five weeks of age. You may
feed it dry, but moistening may enhance acceptance. If desired, self-feeding may be started at any age after
weaning. If puppies are not self-feeding, but on a schedule, feed them 3 times per day up to six months of age and
2 times per day from 6 months to 1 year of age.
Feeding Pregnant Dogs – Using the Suggested Feeding Program, offer 50% more food during pregnancy.
Feeding Lactating Dogs – Using the Suggested Feeding Program, offer 2 - 3 times the normal amount of food.
Provide plenty of fresh water.
The suggested feeding program is intended solely as a guide. The variables of management, environment, and
breed may dictate changes in the animal’s requirements.
